Red, yellow and blue roses, climbing rose bushes and miniature ones, the Parc de Cervantes in Pedralbes neighbourhood features 245 varieties of the flower. You can enjoy the colourful spectacle nearly all the year round, as well as the open areas of the park which welcome you when you enter Barcelona from the Avinguda Diagonal.

This is the jewel in the crown of the park. The Cervantes Rose Garden has around 10,000 rosebushes of some 2,000 species and different varieties that, at the peak flowering period – between May and July – may produce 150,000 roses blooming at a time.

Tip: this park is relatively close to Palau de Pedralbes gardens so it might be worth to plan a combined visit.

WHEN?: open all year, but the flowering period is between May and July
