Discover the last romantic tram in the city. The Tramvia Blau (Blue Tram) is the most beautiful and natural way to access Tibidabo, whether the amusement park or the Temple of the Sacred Heart of Jesus at Tibidabo. Surrounded by a residential area, you’ll cross over the mountain’s greenest spots leading to the foot of the funicular. You’ll travel 1.276 metres, over a 93 metre difference in height between Avinguda Tibidabo and the foot of the Tibidabo funicular. Its fleet comprises seven vehicles, one of which is an “open-air” tram and another of which dates from 1901.
On the tram’s journey up the mountain you will pass through one of Barcelona’s most affluent residential area. Take in the leafy surroundings and sneak a peek at the houses of the city’s rich and famous! The journey lasts around 10′ and as you alight you are half way up Mount Tibidabo and can take in some great views of the city. The Plaça Dr Andreu is a picturesque platform looking down over the city. There are pretty restaurants with terraces to while away the hours in tranquil surroundings.
